Mr. Patrick Mayard is the recipient of a double Award of Excellence at the provincial and national level. The first Award was given to him, in 2019, by
the Association for teaching Science and Technology in Quebec to underline his exceptional career as a teacher who has contributed to the quality of teaching in Quebec through the excellence of his educational methods.
The second was awarded to him, in 2020, by the Association of Physicists of Canada
for his innovative & pragmatic methods of teaching physics (Category: Secondary / College), for having founded the LMS Center with the aim of increasing the success rate in math / science and for writing relevant books for teachers and students across the province.
As an educator, Mr. Mayard has over 14 years of experience teaching mathematics, physics and robotics.
He has received distinctive academic training for his profession. He holds a double bachelor from McGill University. The first is in science with two majors in mathematics and physics.
The second bachelor is in education with a concentration in the teaching of mathematics and physics.
In education, Mr. Mayard has helped many students to outperform their limits and excel in mathematics and science. Christopher Kudo, two time-champion of the Canadian Robotics Competition; Laura Green, recipient of the Governor's Medal, and Franco La Braca, recipient of the Wooton Physics Award(McGill), represent a sample of the multitude of students who have been influenced by his principles of success. Mr. Mayard's involvement in the scientific community has enabled him to coordinate several scientific presentations including
those of Dr. Joe Schwarcz (Director of the Office of Science & Society of McGill University).
Additionally, Mr. Mayard has been a judge of several scientific exhibitions including the Bell Science Fair 2010 which took place
at Concordia University. As a judge, he also joined the committee of engineers of the Canadian Robotics Competition(CRC) for
high schools and colleges in Montreal.
Mr. Mayard also has a distinguished talent in public speaking. In fact, he is a motivational speaker on scholastic success. He has
been the orator of educational seminars at Henri Bourassa High School, Royal Vale, Rosemont and Maisonneuve
College. The motivational CDs resulting from these seminars and his book on success have been on sale in schools such as Ahuntsic College and McGill University.
Patrick Mayard's accomplishments as a teacher, writer and a national speaker, in conjunction with his books that have inspired many students, make him a trusted leader, an expert and a strategist on academic success. He is simultaneously a member of 3 associations: the Canadian Association of Physicists, the Quebec Association for teaching science and technology and the Canadian Mathematical Society.
